Giving Thanks . . .

This last two years has been a rollercoaster ride, and I'm finally where I want to be and am surrounded by the friends and family that I so dearly missed during my time in Virginia.

I didn't like it down there, but that's another story for another day.

Giving thanks . . .

To my parents for their undying support, financially and emotionally

To the Downs' family

To the Fernandez family (did I spell that right?)

To the Merritts in Sandwich for inviting me over for thanksgiving

To Gunstock and Brewster for letting me do what I really to do, teach, whether it be in the classroom, on the slopes or on the field

To Brian and Jim Stevens for making the AC trip the most memorable experience (both good and bad)

To Josh and Nicole for helping me on the way up the East Coast

To all the other Croes family members who have been supportive in my move back to the Granite State

I'll leave you with a picture for "Blue Steal". RIP BS, I miss you.

The Drunk Guy

So last night was spent in Manchvegas. I was the DD for the night, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I blew some people away be spending 2 hours on a guiness at a sports bar, and then I met another guy named Tim who had a sweet jacket that went well with my fedora.

Jeff was the drunk guy that everyone laughs at for being drunk and then feels completely unformtable around at the end of the night when everyone is ready to go home and he has be dragged out of the bar.

Do you know "that guy". He is in your group of friends. Works hard, seems like a good guy, but then flirts with multiple women even though he has a girlfriend.

Coming Home . . . .

This blog is inspired by the Fighter's of Foo's new song off their newest album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.

Home.

After nearly two years in another state which I didn't really want to live in, I'm finally coming back to the greatest state, in my opinion, The Granite State.

It's where I grew up. It's where I learned the skillz that will eventually pay all of the billz. It's where grew up playing in the woods and playing with sister and exploring nature and all it has to offer.

With Mt. Major right down the road, Gunstock just a 15 minute drive and the absolutely beautiful waters of Lake Winnepeasuakee, how can you not love New Hampshire!!!!!

After all, one the greatest members of Red Sox Nation, Carlton Fisk, grew up there, and we do have some of the cheepest booze, available on both sides of Rte. 93 when you enter the state from the south, I'm looking at you Massachusettes, and some of the greatest fireworks that money can buy.

As I sit here and my keys fly accross the computer, I can't wait until I hit the tolls in NH and become part of the winter community at Gunstock.

This is just a first draft. But more to come on why New Hampshire, in my opinion is a great place to grow up. They include but aren't limited to:

No Income Tax.
No Sales Tax.
Small Town Politics.
Town Hall Meetings.
A large network of family and friends.

Sip = enjoy
Swallow = ponder
Digest = process
Regurgitate = comment

Sip. Swallow. Digest. Regurgitate.

I am the Greatest Man in the World

That's one of the songs off Weezer's Red Album, second track (someone correct me if I am wrong), and that's my unofficial anthem for the time being. So went to MTV and couldn't believe what I saw. Highlights included standing next to a pile of trash for nearly 2 hours with no one in the line besides myself objecting to it, and it was off the cuff. No wonder the swine flu is spreading like a wildfire in California.

I wish I had some pictures of some of the stuff I saw waiting in line to see Weezer perform one song. Not even sure what the name of the song was. But it was extremely poppy and the kids seemed to enjoy it.

Highlights from standing in line include striking up conversations with an NYU employee, a musician and an occupational therapists. Isn't that the start to a really bad joke???

So Viacom tried to get me and make me part of their system, but I shut the system down. I don't watch MTV, and I haven't for quite some time now. Maybe like MTV 4.5, I'd be interested in that.

So during my crazy 5-day trip I flew from Richmond, VA to Charlotte, NC to Nashville, TN to visit my sister, http://www.myspace.com/kelsielauren, then I took a bus from Richmond, VA to Washington, DC to New York, NY. I stayed there for two days and got a lot of stuff done with freelancing, trying to set up contacts in NH and weeding out some bad story ideas.

Here is a picure of the the sunrise in Nashville, TN. I love sunrises even more than sunsets because it indicates the beginning of a new day!

During my time on planes and buses, I met some really interesting people, including a couple of soldiers that just got finished with basic training, a Linux programmer who was going to Nashville, a single mom who is an artist, a gentleman who owns his own clothing line and software developer from california and assistant hostel manager from california who is an assistant manager at a hostel and some sketchy characters. I really didn't take enough pictures. But here are some of the random highlights.

The I-timmy, over and out

PS I'm leaving you with the art of taking a good picture, trial and error

4 PM on MTV

4 pm on MTV to see this band, couldn't be happier

New York, New York

So going to see Weezer today. Will try to get some pics of the thing up on the Internets, but can't promise anything. I have no clue how stupid MTV security will be. I have the NV 2, so that peice of crap can take pics. So we'll see
